Overview
We are currently looking for a Junior Systems Administrator with a focus on Microsoft 365 to join our IT department. In this key role, you will assist in managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring its reliability, security, and optimal performance. Responsibilities
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and related applications.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users for Microsoft 365-related issues, troubleshooting account problems, mailbox management, and access permissions.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures within the Microsoft 365 environment, managing user access controls, data loss prevention (DLP), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and compliance policies.
- Monitoring and Performance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize Microsoft 365 services for maximum reliability and efficiency.
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials for end-users and IT staff regarding best practices, procedures, and policies related to Microsoft 365.
- Collaboration and Integration: Work with other IT teams to integrate Microsoft 365 services with existing systems and applications.
- Patch Management: Assist in deploying patches, updates, and upgrades for Microsoft 365 services to ensure system stability and security compliance.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions for Microsoft 365 data, ensuring data protection and business continuity.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security features and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Highly organized, with an emphasis on detail and effective task prioritization.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work within the CST Time Zone.
